The National Initiative for Agricultural Sector Development announced receiving generous support from First Motors to fund a tree-planting project at the Al-Quds Street public transport station. This is part of the fourth phase of the national tree-planting campaign, ‘Damt Khadra’ (May You Remain Green). On this occasion, Her Excellency Sheikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the National Initiative for Agricultural Sector Development, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to First Motors for its effective contribution to the campaign. She emphasised that this initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting national efforts to enhance environmental sustainability and increase green spaces, contributing to improving the quality of life and achieving sustainable development goals. She commended the private sector’s role in the success of such purposeful environmental initiatives.

Her Excellency Mariam Adnan Al Ansari, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, praised the company’s positive cooperation in implementing this initiative. She highlighted its potential to develop the urban environment and improve the experience of public transport users, aligning with the goals of the national tree-planting plan. Al Ansari expressed her hope for further effective cooperation with various private sector partners in similar projects that support relevant national plans and achieve the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications’ objectives in creating an integrated and sustainable urban transport environment.

Nawaf Al Zayani, First Motors Managing Director, expressed the company’s pride in its contribution to the ‘Damt Khadra’ campaign, reaffirming its full commitment to continuing to support projects that contribute to improving the environment and increasing green spaces in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
